At Epic 2025, I kicked things off by reminding everyone of a truth we don’t like to think about:
Tomorrow is not promised.
At 39, I went in for a routine procedure. I came out of it in a coma. That experience changed everything. It forced me to ask:
🔥 Am I really living?
🔥 Or am I just working and waiting for ‘someday’?
Most high achievers get caught in the trap of waiting. Waiting until they’re promoted. Until their kids are grown. Until they retire.
But the 5%? They live now.
2. How We Designed a Year of Adventure (and How You Can Too)
At Epic 2025, I walked everyone through a process to create a full year of adventure—not just vacations, but small moments that bring joy and excitement.
💡 We used ChatGPT to brainstorm bucket-list ideas—both big and small
💡 We identified what’s really stopping us from making plans (Spoiler: It’s never just time or money)
💡 We scheduled them in—because a plan that’s not on the calendar? It’s just a wish
Your adventure list doesn’t need to be expensive or extravagant. Some of the best ideas cost nothing. Like:
✔ A weekly standing date night (because planning last minute = never happening)
✔ A personal reading spot with your kid (one leader created a ‘secret reading hill’ for her daughter)
✔ A monthly “try something new” day—painting, hiking, learning self-defense
Adventure isn’t just about big trips. It’s about making life feel exciting again.
3. The ChatGPT Trick That Changes Everything
Here’s a game-changer:
Take one of your planned adventures and type this into ChatGPT:
💬 “Describe this day as if I just lived it. Make it detailed, positive, and vivid.”
I did this for a three-day mother-daughter retreat I planned, and it made me emotional just reading it.
It described waking up on the cabin porch with coffee, riding horses with my daughter, and sitting around the campfire with other moms and daughters. It felt so real—before it even happened.
That’s the power of anticipation. It keeps you excited. It makes life better now.
And it makes sure you actually follow through.
