Shayla King did not enter coaching from the outside looking in. She spent her career as a Chief People Officer, M&A executive, and global leadership trainer at companies including Koch Industries (a $7B division) and Boeing. She owned talent strategy, managed difficult transitions, built leadership pipelines, and evaluated every vendor in this space before she became one.

When her career reached what should have been the peak, she survived a near-fatal medical emergency that reframed everything. She came out of it not bitter, but clearer: about what performance actually requires, about the cost of success without joy, and about what was missing from every coaching and leadership program she had ever seen.

She built Evolve Coaching on one thesis: performance and happiness are not opposites. The system that makes leaders excellent is the same system that makes them sustainable. That is not a philosophy. It is a framework, and it produces results.
